Denial is a very powerful thing especially when it comes to our fitness level and our weight. One of the first things a personal fitness trainer does is assess what level a person is at so that there is some way to track progress and results. This should be the plan of attack for any one attempting change in their life including diet and fitness. Testing your fitness level is somewhat easier than figuring out what your calorie intake is. There a number of good books like the Nutrition Almanac but they are not very complete and don’t include fast foods.
